Unifour Senior Games Silver Arts will host an exhibit upstairs in The Learning Lab from March 26th until April 4th. A reception will be held in the Meeting Room at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library on Friday, April 4th from 2:30-4pm. 

Join us for a reception for the Senior Games Silver Arts Exhibit. Artists are invited to pick up their artwork from the Learning Lab and stop by the meeting room for the reception.

Bring your family and friends to the library to hear new stories and explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) through hands-on tinkering. 

To celebrate National Library Week, Friends of Hickory Public Library will present the winners of their 2025 bookmark contest for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade. 

Friends of Hickory Public Library will hold a book sale on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12. Proceeds support library programs and services.

The inaugural Hickory Literary Festival will be held Saturday, April 12 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on the SALT Block. This free community festival is designed for all ages to celebrate reading, books, and creativity.  

Step into the limelight to share original poetry, spoken word, song or rap in celebration of Poetry Month. We welcome you to a casual event where all levels of performers can take the stage and express themselves in a supportive environment.

Celebrate the start of a colorful summer! We’re kicking off Summer Learning with an outdoor celebration at Taft Broome Park. Fun will include a color splash zone, crafts, DJ, free Kona Ice, and more. 

Families are invited for a fitness-based story time with Stretch-n-Grow. Bring a towel, blanket or yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. In the event of rain, story time will be moved indoors and limited to two 15-minute story time sessions.
