Teen Tech Club

Event Details:

Teen Tech Club, designed for ages 12 to 18, will allow teens to gain hands-on experience with various technologies through guided projects, primarily surrounding 3D printing and Arduino. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. Participation in all meetings is not required, and newcomers are welcome anytime. Whether a tech enthusiast or beginner, bring your skills to a new level and have fun creating in this collaborative environment! 

November: Learn the basics of using Arduino libraries to code color sequences for LED lights.

The Learning Lab

The Learning Lab is available to library patrons ages 12 and up. A current Hickory Public Library card is required to use Learning Lab equipment. Patrons must sign the user agreement policy and participate in a free orientation session conducted by library staff before using the Lab.

The library invites young readers to improve their reading skills by reading to a licensed therapy dog. This fun opportunity will help build fluency and confidence. Sign up for a half hour appointment to start your Paws journey. Caregivers are required to stay in the room during the appointment.

Classic Films with Joe Barrett
