Teen Tech Club

Event Details:

Teen Tech Club, designed for ages 12 to 18, will allow teens to gain hands-on experience with various technologies through guided projects, primarily surrounding 3D printing and Arduino. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. Participation in all meetings is not required, and newcomers are welcome anytime. Whether a tech enthusiast or beginner, bring your skills to a new level and have fun creating in this collaborative environment! 

October will focus on 3D modeling, and teens will learn how to create a ghost lamp using TinkerCAD. Participants will have the option to 3D print their designs.

Classic Films with Joe Barrett

The Learning Lab is available to library patrons ages 7 and up. An adult must accompany users younger than age 12 at all times. A current Hickory Public Library card is required to use Learning Lab equipment. Patrons must sign the user agreement policy and participate in a free orientation session conducted by library staff before using the Lab.

This workshop with Do Art Productions will explore the ins and outs of comics, manga and graphic novels, experimenting with and identifying the different tools for emotions and storytelling.
