Children ages 7 and up, bring your favorite books to life at Wonder Lab’s Booktastic! Create a “book tasting” display using Makey Makey’s and Scratch coding software. Choose your favorite book to feature and record an audio description. The display will be up in The Learning Lab for the remainder of the month. Other activities include building a book scene from Legos, creating 3D miniature libraries, and more.

The Learning Lab
The Learning Lab is available to library patrons ages 12 and up. A current Hickory Public Library card is required to use Learning Lab equipment. Patrons must sign the user agreement policy and participate in a free orientation session conducted by library staff before using the Lab.
