Month Calendar

Participants will learn chess basics, strategies, and tactics by playing with other chess enthusiasts in the community. All skill levels, from beginners to champions are welcome.   
 

Celebrate Women's History Month and dive into the rich tapestry of your maternal lineage. Explore how the women in your family tree have shaped your identity. Discover tales of resilience, courage, tenacity and faithfulness.

For March, Hickory Hikers will meet at Valdese Lakeside Park in the main parking lot located at 1149 Lake Rhodhiss Dr NE, Valdese, NC 28690. 

The book selection for March is Those We Thought We Knew by David Joy.

Letter Link, a monthly meet up pen pal group focusing on engaging young writers’ literacy skills through creating postcards and letters for nonprofit organizations.

Unifour Senior Games Silver Arts will host an exhibit upstairs in The Learning Lab from March 26th until April 4th. A reception will be held in the Meeting Room at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library on Friday, April 4th from 2:30-4pm. 

Join us for a reception for the Senior Games Silver Arts Exhibit. Artists are invited to pick up their artwork from the Learning Lab and stop by the meeting room for the reception.

Bring your family and friends to the library to hear new stories and explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) through hands-on tinkering.
