Interested in quilting but not sure how to get started? Learn the basics as you create a cute open book quilt block. Choose your fabrics, learn how to precisely cut each piece, and sew! Take home a finished block, ready to be part of a full quilt or transform it into a decorative pillow cover.

The Learning Lab
The Learning Lab is available to library patrons ages 7 and up. An adult must accompany users younger than age 12 at all times. A current Hickory Public Library card is required to use Learning Lab equipment. Patrons must sign the user agreement policy and participate in a free orientation session conducted by library staff before using the Lab.
