Do you have extra craft or art supplies cluttering up your space? Drop off your new, unused items at the library's Circulation desk any time before July 18th to get an early access ticket to the swap.
Guidelines for donations: All items must be in clean, reusable condition.
Items may include:
- crafting tools and equipment
- paints
- brushes
- drawing materials
- art paper
- papercraft items
- textiles
- yarn/fiber arts materials and tools
- patterns or craft/art books
- jewelry findings
- beads
- craft kits
- clay,
- stickers
- sewing notions
- kids craft supplies
Please do not bring dirty or mildewed items, opened paint, nonworking tools and equipment, magazines, stained fabric or textiles, scraps (fat quarters are fine),
Any leftover items will be donated.

The Learning Lab
The Learning Lab is available to library patrons ages 12 and up. A current Hickory Public Library card is required to use Learning Lab equipment. Patrons must sign the user agreement policy and participate in a free orientation session conducted by library staff before using the Lab.
