October's meeting of the Catawba County Genealogical Society is co-sponsored by Hickory Public Library and hosted at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library.

The Catawba County Genealogical Society serves the needs of those interested in the history and ancestry of this area. Meetings are free and open to the public.

Meetings: The Catawba County Genealogical Society meets the evening of the 4th Tuesday of each month except December. Meetings are held in the auditorium of the Catawba County Library in Newton, NC except for the April and October meetings which are held at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library. Meetings are free and open to the public. 

Mission: The Catawba County Genealogical Society was founded in 1986 to serve the needs of genealogists seeking more information about the history and ancestry of the settlers and current inhabitants of this area.
