Take part in a multicultural book discussion that explores equality through books that tackle race, gender, and other important social issues. New members are always welcome. 

Facilitated by Hickory Poet Laureate Scott Owens, this monthly group will include all things poetic: sharing, discussion, prompts, critiques and workshops.

The book for April is "The Devil’s Done Come Back: New Ghost Tales from North Carolina" by Ed Southern. 

The Friends of Hickory Public Library will present the awards for their annual bookmark contest. Meet the winners and see the winning artwork for all grade levels.

Jake Haynes, with the Catawba County Extension office, will guide you on how to build your own wooden planter box from scratch! We provide everything you’ll need, including plant starters. 

Talk about all things Tolkien while joining in fellowship to build Rivendell using LEGO® bricks! After all building sessions are done the completed piece will be on display at the library.
