Dig into a terrific summer! We’re kicking off Summer Learning with an outdoor celebration at Taft Broome Park. Fun will include crafts, face painting, free Kona Ice, and more. 

Let’s rock with Big Bang Boom!, a kiddie rock band, in a fun and family-friendly rock concert suitable for even the youngest rock stars in the family.

Explore the Dinosaurs! Exhibit in Catawba Science Center's Carpenter Hall and view a showing of the new planetarium show, Dinosaurs: A Story of Survival. Attendees will be divided into two groups.

Step into the prehistoric world with Dino Academy! Led by the quirky and curious Dr. Sarah Tops, this action-packed adventure uncovers fascinating dino facts that will wow even the biggest dino fans.

Hickory Ballet & Performing Arts' interactive story time will blend dancing and singing with the iconic sounds of George Gershwin, inviting children and families to step inside the story through rhythm, movement, and song.

Join us at Taft Broome Park for stories, songs, and hands-on STEAM activities for young scientists. Bring a blanket or towel to sit on. In the event of rain, story time will be held inside Ridgeview Branch Library. 

Get ready for the Critter Keeper, an animal show for those not-faint-at-heart, offering a unique look at insects, reptiles, and a python.
