MAC Station & Scanner

The Learning Lab features one MAC Desktop Computer with various software and programs for design, coding, video editing, and one Epson Expression 12000XL. 

• Current Software and Programs: Adobe Creative Cloud, Alice 3, Arduino, Audacity, Blender, Cecilia, Celestia, Cricut Design Space, Free CAD, Garage Band, GIMP, Inkscape, Krita, LMMS, MuseScore3, Raspberry Pi, Reaper, Scratch, Scribus, Sky Chart, Stellarium, Tinker CAD, Unity Hub, Varobs, Virtual DJ, Visual Studio Code, Wacom Inkspace
• To use the MAC Desktop Computer, patrons must have a valid Hickory Public Library card and complete a brief orientation to ensure proper use and safety. 

Epson Expression 12000XL

• The Epson Expression 12000XL is a professional-grade, large-format flatbed scanner designed for applications where high-resolution image quality and media versatility are needed. Accommodates oversized originals up to 12.2"×17.2". This makes it ideal for scanning large documents, photographs, artwork, and mechanical drawings in a single pass.
• Delivering exceptional detail, the scanner has an optical resolution of 2400×4800 dpi. This high resolution, combined with advanced color accuracy technology, ensures it captures subtle gradations and fine lines.
