On the first Thursday of every month, Joe Barrett, film critic and movie reviewer for WHKY, hosts a classic movie screening and leads a discussion about the actors, directors, and history of the film. No registration is required.   

The film for May is Sense and Sensibility, directed by Ang Lee.

We'll be using Creativebug as our guide to learn the basics of loom knitting. No prior experience is necessary – all skill levels are welcome. Materials will be provided.

The Learning Lab is available to library patrons ages 12 and up. A current Hickory Public Library card is required to use Learning Lab equipment. Patrons must sign the user agreement policy and participate in a free orientation session conducted by library staff before using the Lab.
