On the first Thursday of every month, Joe Barrett, film critic and movie reviewer for WHKY, hosts a classic movie screening and leads a discussion about the actors, directors, and history of the film. No registration is required.   

The film for August is The Last of Sheila, directed by Herbert Ross.

Cast Includes: Richard Benjamin, Dyan Cannon, James Coburn, Joan Hackett, James Mason, Raquel Welch, Ian McShane, and Pierre Rosso

The Learning Lab is available to library patrons ages 12 and up. A current Hickory Public Library card is required to use Learning Lab equipment. Patrons must sign the user agreement policy and participate in a free orientation session conducted by library staff before using the Lab.
