Enjoy a unique opportunity for local chess players to experience a simultaneous exhibition.
United States Chess Federation (UCSF) National Master Tim Hanks will play 20 opponents at once, moving from board to board in a continuous circuit until all games are completed. Opponents must be non-titled players and if an opponent has a USCF rank it must be 1600 or lower. Having a USCF rank or membership is not required to play.
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend and observe the games.
Registration is required for those that want to play in the simultaneous exhibition. Spectators attending to watch the games should not register.
Tim Hanks is a retired Electrical Engineering Manager now residing in Hickory, NC after 42 years of working in the Aerospace Industry. He’s a Life Member of the United States Chess Federation (USCF) and National Master with over 39 years as a chess instructor, mentor, coach and USCF tournament director. Tim is the founder of the Chess by Hanks Academy. He is a chess photojournalist, writer, mentor and offers in-person and online chess instruction.
